What it is

What is urology SEO?

Urology SEO is the work of making a urology practice findable when someone searches for a urinary, kidney or men's health problem, from urologist near me to a specific search like kidney stone treatment or ED treatment near me. It covers your Google Business Profile, a page for each condition and procedure you treat, your men's health services, and the structure that gets your practice named in the AI answers patients read in private.

01

Urgent and referred urology

Local, referral driven
  • The search is a symptom in distress, a kidney stone or blood in the urine, and they want help now
  • Kidney stones, UTIs, cancer referrals and incontinence all arrive through this door
  • How soon you can be seen, and how close you are, settle it more often than reputation does
  • Wins on the profile, per-location pages and being the practice that can see them this week
02

Men's health

Private, researched, decision led
  • The search is a private symptom, and it starts weeks before anyone picks up the phone
  • ED, low testosterone, vasectomy, BPH and Peyronie's, often paid out of pocket
  • Discretion decides it, so the page must answer what he will not ask a receptionist
  • Wins on a real page per condition and per procedure, written to be read in private

Most urology sites bury men's health under one thin page, if they mention it at all. That page ranks for none of it, and it is the highest-intent, most commercial half of the market. The kidney-stone patient will find you in an emergency regardless. The man comparing ED options for a month will book with whoever wrote the page that actually answered him, and right now that is a telehealth brand, not you.

A urology clinic at the centre of a city block, connected outward to the Google map pack above it, patient reviews on one side and booked appointments on the other, and below to its own website, which in turn feeds ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews and Perplexity
Urgent and researched patients run on the same three pieces: the profile, the site and the answers AI engines give about you.

What we do

What we build to win you urology patients

01

Google Business Profile and the map pack

  • Primary category set to Urologist, with secondary categories matching what you actually treat
  • A profile per physician where the practice structure supports it, not just one for the practice
  • NAP consistency fixed across health directories, insurance listings and aggregators
  • Review strategy timed to the weeks after a procedure works, handled with the discretion this specialty needs
02

Urology condition pages

  • One page per condition you treat: kidney stones, UTIs, enlarged prostate, incontinence, hematuria
  • Overactive bladder and recurrent infection pages, written for the person searching the symptom
  • Written for someone using their own words for a symptom, not a clinical term they do not know
  • Kidney stone content built for urgency, since that search happens in pain and converts fast
03

Men's and sexual health

  • A real page per service: ED, low testosterone, vasectomy, Peyronie's disease, male infertility
  • Written for a man searching privately who has told no one, not for a keyword target
  • Cash-pay and discretion made clear, because this is where telehealth brands win by default
  • Structured to answer the questions he will not ask a receptionist, before he ever calls
04

Procedures and cancer care

  • A page per procedure: lithotripsy, cystoscopy, vasectomy, UroLift, robotic prostatectomy
  • Prostate, bladder and kidney cancer pages, written carefully for a frightened reader
  • What the procedure actually involves, recovery, and the questions patients are too embarrassed to ask
  • Written for someone reading carefully in private, who will notice if the page dodges the question
05

Credibility and technical foundation

  • Board certification and subspecialty focus stated up front, since these patients check before they book
  • Physician and MedicalClinic schema, with each urologist as its own entity
  • Author and medical reviewer attribution on every clinical page
  • Core Web Vitals, mobile rendering, crawlability and forms that do not leak patient data
06

AI answers patients read in private, and reporting

  • Your condition pages structured so ChatGPT and AI Overviews name your practice for the questions patients will not ask aloud
  • One consistent practice identity across the web, so AI engines know exactly which urology practice you are
  • Calls, forms and booked visits traced back to the condition someone searched before calling
  • A monthly call where you see what moved, what is next, and can ask why

Meet the founder

SEO and AI search, led by the founder himself

I’m Ashikur Rahman. I’ve spent the better part of a decade in SEO, most recently as Partner and SEO Manager at Doctor Rank, a medical and legal SEO agency I helped found. Every plan, every strategy and every client win there ran through me and my team. Proximity Ranker is the next step, my own agency, built the way I’ve always believed this work should be done.

I keep it small on purpose. We stay selective about who we sign and cap how many clients we take on, so nobody ends up with a template pulled from a drawer. We build your strategy around your specialty, your city and your goals. My own background is in law, an LL.B and an LL.M, and that turns out to be a real edge in YMYL niches like medicine and law, where Google and AI reward genuine expertise and trust.

Hire Proximity Ranker and you work with me, not an account manager. I look over every strategy, every author block and every AI search recommendation before it ships. Search has moved past ten blue links. Your next clients are already asking Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT and Perplexity who to trust, and earning a place inside those answers is the work I care about most.

The first 90 days, from audit to new patients

No lock-in contract. If the visits are not coming you can walk away, which is the only honest promise about results anyone can make before seeing your site.

See why the urology group outranks you

Where you rank now, what traffic you are getting, which technical issues are holding the site back, and how you compare against the hospital urology department and the large groups taking your patients. It comes back as a prioritised list, worst problems first. No charge and no obligation.

  2. Month 1

The heavy month. Design work where the site needs it, a page written for every condition, procedure and men's health service you offer that does not have one yet, schema for the practice and each physician, and your Google Business Profile rebuilt from the categories up.

How do we outrank the hospital urology department?

Usually not on the broadest terms, and you should not spend your budget trying. A hospital domain carries authority you cannot buy. What it cannot do is publish a genuinely good page on one condition and keep it current, because that content has to clear a committee. A real page on kidney stone treatment in your city can outrank all of them for that search, and enough of those pages will out-earn one fight you were never going to win.

Is men's health actually worth building pages for?

It is usually the largest unclaimed opportunity on the whole site. ED, low testosterone and vasectomy carry enormous search volume and high commercial intent, and most urology sites bury them on one thin page. Those patients research alone for weeks and book with whoever answered their questions. Right now that is a telehealth brand, and it does not have to be.

A lot of our patients come from referrals. Does SEO change anything?

More than it used to. A referred patient still looks the name up before booking, and with urology they are usually researching quietly at home. What they find decides whether they call you or go back and ask for a different name, and thin profiles lose those patients without ever showing it.

Our patients are private about these problems. How does that affect content?

It shapes everything. Someone searching about ED or blood in the urine has often told no one, and a page written like a brochure sends them back to Google. The pages that win are the ones that answer the embarrassing question plainly, the way you would in the room, so the patient feels understood before they ever have to say it out loud to a receptionist.

Is it risky to publish content about cancer and serious conditions?

It is content Google holds to its strictest standard, which makes it an advantage rather than a risk if you handle it properly. That means a named urologist as author, a clear review date, no diagnosis offered on the page, and no claim you would not make in a first appointment. Done that way it is some of the highest-trust content on your site.

How long does urology SEO take to work?

Local and Google Business Profile improvements often move within the first month or two, and urgent searches like kidney stones respond early because intent is high. Competitive men's health and procedure terms take longer, usually four to six months before the trend is clear. Any agency promising page one in thirty days is either targeting terms nobody searches or is not being straight with you.

Why is our practice not showing up in the Google map pack?

It is almost never effort. Urology practices complete the profile, collect what reviews they can and still sit outside the top three, because the map pack turns on things owners rarely adjust: the correct primary category, a profile that matches the site, one consistent name and address across the health directories, and steady activity on the listing. We work out which is costing you and fix them in order, since the top three take roughly three of every four local clicks.

How do you get our practice named by ChatGPT and AI Overviews?

By making your practice the easiest to cite. One unambiguous identity everywhere, a real page per condition and procedure with the city in the heading, named urologists with credentials, and answers a model can lift cleanly. ChatGPT pulls only a few sources per answer and favours clear, credentialed pages, and cited practices earn far more clicks. We build for that and test your top patient questions in the engines monthly.

Do you lock us into a long contract?

No. Nothing is locked in and you can leave at any time. We would rather earn next month than hold you for a year, and a practice that stays because the clinic is busy is worth more to us than one kept by a contract.

Do you write the clinical content yourselves?

We draft it and you review it. Nothing clinical goes live on a urology practice's site without a physician signing off. It is your license and your patients, so the final read is always yours.

What does the free audit include?

Where you rank now, the traffic actually reaching the site, the technical faults in the way, and a full SEO audit with fixes ordered by what moves first. Returned inside 24 to 48 hours, at no charge and with nothing owed.
