AI Search for Orthodontists
Parents pricing braces and adults weighing Invisalign ask an AI first, long before they call. We make yours the one it names.

See it live
Ask the three engines your patients use, and watch who they name. This is what a cited answer looks like when your practice is the one built to be quoted.
A live example. The tabs cycle through how each engine answers; a real practice is named and cited the same way.
What it is
AI search optimization, or AEO, is the work of getting your orthodontic practice named and cited when someone asks an AI engine about braces or Invisalign, whether a mail-order aligner kit is safe, or who the best orthodontist near them is. It structures your treatment pages, your reviews, your credentials and your practice identity so ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews and Perplexity can quote you as the answer.

Why this matters now
Search is moving from a page of links to a single answer. This is the shift your practice is being sorted by, whether or not anyone is optimising for it.
Industry figures from third-party 2026 research, directional and about the search shift itself, not this practice's results.

The same practice name, orthodontist list and specialty everywhere an engine looks, and clearly an orthodontist, not a general dentist. When your details disagree across the chains, directories and insurers, a model cannot be sure which practice you are, so it names one it can.
Braces, Invisalign, early treatment, retention, each on its own page, plus a page that compares supervised aligners to mail-order kits. That comparison is the question engines get asked most in this specialty, and a model quotes a specific page, never a Treatments list.
The one thing a mail-order kit and a general dentist cannot claim is a specialist who examines the patient. Board certification, specialty training and a named orthodontist as author on each page are the trust signals an engine cites you for over a DTC brand.
Medical and FAQ schema, a 40-to-60-word answer under each heading, and comparison-shaped subheads, braces versus aligners, kit versus orthodontist. This is the difference between a page an engine has to summarise and one it can quote word for word.
Unlike most of medicine, orthodontic patients happily review on debond day, and engines pull that language straight into their summaries. Steady reviews that mention the finished smile, the pricing and the doctor by name feed the exact phrasing an AI reaches for when it describes you.
A visible review date, current pricing ranges and up-to-date technology tell an engine the page is maintained. Stale pages get passed over on treatment and cost questions, where an out-of-date answer is one the model is built to avoid.
What we do
Meet the founder
I’m Ashikur Rahman. I’ve spent the better part of a decade in SEO, most recently as Partner and SEO Manager at Doctor Rank, a medical and legal SEO agency I helped found. Every plan, every strategy and every client win there ran through me and my team. Proximity Ranker is the next step, my own agency, built the way I’ve always believed this work should be done.
I keep it small on purpose. We stay selective about who we sign and cap how many clients we take on, so nobody ends up with a template pulled from a drawer. We build your strategy around your specialty, your city and your goals. My own background is in law, an LL.B and an LL.M, and that turns out to be a real edge in YMYL niches like medicine and law, where Google and AI reward genuine expertise and trust.
Hire Proximity Ranker and you work with me, not an account manager. I look over every strategy, every author block and every AI search recommendation before it ships. Search has moved past ten blue links. Your next clients are already asking Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT and Perplexity who to trust, and earning a place inside those answers is the work I care about most.
Book a call and you talk to me directly, not an account manager.

How it runs
No lock-in contract. AI visibility is measurable, so you will see whether you are being named more often, on real patient questions, not asked to take it on faith.
We ask the engines the questions your patients ask, braces cost, Invisalign versus a mail-order kit, best orthodontist near me, and record exactly what comes back: whether you are named, which page is cited, who is named instead, and where your identity disagrees with itself across the web. It returns as a prioritised list, worst gaps first. No charge and no obligation.
The heavy month. One consistent practice identity reconciled everywhere an engine looks, a quotable page for every treatment and age group that lacks one, the mail-order comparison page written, and schema for the practice and each orthodontist so a model can resolve who you are.
The foundation is in, so now we make the site quotable. Short extractable answers under comparison-shaped headings, review language worked into the pages, and presence built on the third-party sources these engines actually cite.
This is usually when it shows: your practice named in ChatGPT and AI Overviews on the questions that matter, more pages cited, and AI referral traffic pulled out of Direct so you can finally see it. We report on all of it.
Regular SEO earns a ranking; AI search earns a mention. An engine does not hand a patient ten links, it gives one answer and names a few practices inside it. That runs on different signals: a consistent identity, pages a model can quote, a named board-certified orthodontist and the third-party sources it trusts. The two overlap, but optimising for a blue-link ranking does not automatically get you cited.
Constantly, and the comparison questions most of all. A parent asks what braces cost and at what age to start, and an adult asks whether Invisalign is worth it over a mail-order kit, long before either calls a practice. If the engine answers with three names and yours is not one of them, you never enter the decision, and you never learn it happened.
That is exactly the fight to pick. The DTC brands have the ad budget, but they cannot claim the one thing an engine values on a health question: a real orthodontist who examines the patient. A clear page explaining when a kit is fine and when it is a mistake, written by the doctor who would treat the case, is the page an engine cites when a patient weighs the two.
No, and anyone who guarantees a specific engine output is not being straight with you. What we can do is make your practice the easiest one in your area to cite, then measure it: we track your key questions across the engines every month and show you where you are named and where you are not. The trend is what we hold ourselves to.
It helps, because some engines read Google's results, but it is not the same job. A page can rank first and still never be quoted, because it is written to be clicked rather than lifted. And when Google answers with an AI Overview above your ranking, the click you earned can disappear into a summary that names someone else. Being cited in that summary is the work.
More than in almost any other specialty. Orthodontic patients are happy to review on debond day, and engines pull that language directly into their summaries. Reviews that mention the finished smile, the pricing and the doctor by name give an AI the exact phrasing it reaches for when it describes you, which is an advantage most medical practices do not have.
Three ways. We test your patient questions in each engine on a schedule and log whether you are named and cited. We separate AI referral traffic out of Direct, where most of it lands invisibly. And we tie both back toward booked consults and new starts. You see the answers moving, not just a promise that they will.
Identity and schema fixes can change what engines say within a month or two, because those are the gaps that most often keep you out. Being consistently named on competitive Invisalign and comparison questions takes longer, usually three to six months, as the pages mature and the reviews build. Anyone promising instant AI dominance is selling something.
Alongside. The same pages, schema and identity work serve both, which is why we do them together rather than selling them as two invoices. A strong Invisalign page earns rankings and citations at once. Where they diverge is format and validation, and that is the part specific to getting named by an engine.
We ask the engines your patients' real questions and show you exactly what they say today: whether you are named, which pages are cited, who is named instead, and where your identity is working against you across the web. Back inside 24 to 48 hours with nothing owed.
