What it is

What is immigration law SEO?

Immigration law SEO is the work of making a firm findable the moment someone searches an immigration question, from immigration lawyer near me to a specific term like green card attorney, asylum lawyer or H-1B attorney, in the languages your clients search. It covers your Google Business Profile, a page for every visa and relief type you handle, the legal directories that rank, and the structure that gets your firm named in AI answers, in every language your clients search.

01

Family and humanitarian immigration

Volume, personal, often in another language
  • The client is an individual or a family, frightened about a deadline or a detained relative, searching in their first language
  • Family green cards, fiance visas, citizenship, asylum, DACA and deportation defense
  • Trust, language and reachability decide it, and the competitor is often a form service or notario that is not a lawyer at all
  • Wins on Google Business Profile, pages in the languages your clients search, and a real page per relief type
02

Business and employment immigration

Fewer searches, higher value, decided on expertise
  • The client is a company or an HR team, not a frightened individual, and the decision runs on a longer timeline
  • H-1B, L-1, O-1, TN, PERM labor certification and the EB employment green cards
  • Track record decides it, whether you have moved this exact visa through before, not who is nearest or cheapest
  • Wins on a real page per visa type, written for an HR manager or a founder comparing firms, not a legal directory

Most immigration sites are built for one half and quietly lose the other. A family-heavy firm chases the crowded near-me terms and has nothing an HR team searching by visa name can find, while a business firm has no page a Spanish-speaking or Mandarin-speaking family will ever reach. The two clients search differently, in different languages, on different timelines, and one generic immigration page serves neither. Building the missing half, in the language those clients actually search, is usually the fastest unclaimed growth in an immigration practice.

An immigration law firm at the centre of a city block, connected outward to the Google map pack above it, client reviews on one side and signed cases on the other, and below to its own website, which in turn feeds ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews and Perplexity, ending in more visibility, more clients and more freedom for the firm
Family and business immigration run on the same three pieces: the profile, the site and the answers AI engines give about you.

What we do

What we build to win you immigration clients

01

Google Business Profile and the map pack

  • Primary category set to Immigration Attorney, with the visa and relief types you handle surfaced in services
  • A profile per attorney and per office where the firm structure supports it
  • NAP consistency fixed across legal directories, bar listings and aggregators
  • Reviews and profile content offered in the languages your clients actually search and read
02

Family and humanitarian immigration

  • A page per relief type: family green cards, fiance visas, citizenship, asylum, DACA, deportation defense
  • Pages written in the languages a large share of your clients search, not an auto-translate plugin
  • Written for a frightened spouse or parent one click from a form service that is not a lawyer
  • Per-city and community pages for the neighborhoods where your clients actually live and search
03

Business and employment immigration

  • A real page per visa type: H-1B, L-1, O-1, TN, PERM labor certification, EB employment green cards
  • Content on how each process actually works, written for an HR manager or a founder, not a directory
  • Track record and moved-through-before signals surfaced, since business clients choose on proof
  • Written for a decision that runs over weeks, where the reader compares several firms before calling
04

Language and reachability

  • Real pages in the languages your clients search, each one indexable on its own, not a widget overlay
  • hreflang and structure so Google serves the right language page to the right searcher
  • A Google Business Profile and forms a client can use in the language they think in
  • Written so someone weighing several firms can tell yours has moved this exact case through before
05

Credibility and technical foundation

  • Bar admission, immigration focus and case history surfaced on the page, since these clients look for proof
  • Attorney and LegalService schema, with each attorney and office as its own entity
  • Author and reviewer attribution on the practice-area pages
  • Core Web Vitals, mobile rendering, crawlability and forms that do not leak a potential client's details
06

AI answers and reporting, in every language

  • Your visa and relief pages structured so ChatGPT and AI Overviews can name your firm when someone asks who to call
  • One consistent firm identity across the web, so AI engines know exactly which immigration firm you are
  • Calls, forms and signed clients traced back to the exact search and language that produced them
  • A monthly call on what moved, in which language, and what comes next

Meet the founder

SEO and AI search, led by the founder himself

I’m Ashikur Rahman. I’ve spent the better part of a decade in SEO, most recently as Partner and SEO Manager at Doctor Rank, a medical and legal SEO agency I helped found. Every plan, every strategy and every client win there ran through me and my team. Proximity Ranker is the next step, my own agency, built the way I’ve always believed this work should be done.

I keep it small on purpose. We stay selective about who we sign and cap how many clients we take on, so nobody ends up with a template pulled from a drawer. We build your strategy around your specialty, your city and your goals. My own background is in law, an LL.B and an LL.M, and that turns out to be a real edge in YMYL niches like medicine and law, where Google and AI reward genuine expertise and trust.

Hire Proximity Ranker and you work with me, not an account manager. I look over every strategy, every author block and every AI search recommendation before it ships. Search has moved past ten blue links. Your next clients are already asking Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT and Perplexity who to trust, and earning a place inside those answers is the work I care about most.

How do we outrank the big immigration firms?

Usually not on ad spend, which is a fight the biggest firms will always win. What they cannot do is be the local immigration lawyer who answers in the language your client searches, with real reviews, named attorneys and pages written by the person who would actually handle the case rather than a marketing agency. A genuinely good page on one visa or relief type in your city, in the right language, can outrank all of them for that search, and enough of those pages will out-earn a bidding war you were never going to win.

Do we really need pages in other languages?

For most immigration firms it is the single largest missed opportunity on the site. A huge share of these clients search and read in their first language, and an auto-translate widget does not rank or reassure anyone. A real, indexable page written in the language your clients actually use reaches searchers your English-only competitors never see, and it tells that reader you are the firm that will understand them. We build the ones that match your actual client base, not every language for its own sake.

Are the business and employment visa pages worth building?

If you handle that work, yes, and it is often the most under-built part of the whole site. An HR manager searching H-1B lawyer or PERM attorney is a high-value client who chooses on track record and reads every word before calling. Most immigration firms bury that work under one thin general page, so a real page per visa type, written for the person doing the hiring, wins clients the near-me family terms will never reach.

How do we compete with form services and notarios?

You beat them on the one thing they cannot legally offer, a lawyer who is accountable for the outcome the moment the case stops being simple. The winning move is not to ignore them, it is to address the comparison head on, a page in the client's language that explains plainly when a form is enough and when it quietly costs someone their status or their family. Written by the attorney who would handle the case, it converts the exact client those services are taking.

Should we separate the family and business immigration pages?

Yes, because they are two different readers in two different states of mind. A frightened spouse facing a deadline and an HR manager moving a work visa want completely different answers, and a single page that tries to serve both serves neither. Separate, well-built pages let each client find the one written for them, and they rank for far more of the searches that matter.

How long does immigration SEO take to work?

Local and Google Business Profile improvements often move within the first month or two, and lower-competition relief types and languages respond early. The crowded terms every firm is bidding on take longer, usually four to six months before the trend is clear. Any agency promising page one in thirty days is either targeting terms nobody searches or is not being straight with you.

Why is our firm not showing up in the Google map pack?

It is almost never effort. Firms complete the profile, gather reviews and still sit outside the top three, because the map pack depends on things owners rarely adjust: the correct primary category, a profile that matches the site, one consistent name and address across the legal directories, and review activity that keeps arriving. We work out which is costing you and fix them in order, since the top three listings take roughly three of every four local clicks.

How do you get our firm named by ChatGPT and AI Overviews?

By making your firm the easiest to cite, in each language your clients use. One unambiguous identity everywhere, a real page per visa and relief type with the city in the heading, named attorneys with credentials, and answers a model can lift cleanly. ChatGPT pulls only a few sources per answer and favours clear, credentialed pages, and cited firms earn far more clicks. We build for that and test your top client questions in the engines monthly.

Do you lock us into a long contract?

No. Nothing is locked in and you can leave at any time. We would rather earn next month than hold you for a year, and a firm that stays because clients are signing is worth more to us than one kept by a contract.

Do you write the legal content yourselves?

We draft it, in each language, and you approve every word before it publishes. Immigration advice carries real stakes for the reader, so an attorney signs off on all of it.

What does the free audit include?

Where you rank now, the traffic actually reaching the site, the technical faults in the way, and a full SEO audit with fixes ordered by what moves first. Returned inside 24 to 48 hours, at no cost and with no obligation.
