What it is

What is dental SEO?

Dental SEO is the work of making a dental practice findable when someone searches for a dentist or a specific treatment, from dentist near me to a search like dental implants or Invisalign near me. It covers your Google Business Profile, a page for each service you offer, your cosmetic and implant work, and the structure that gets your practice named when someone asks an AI which dentist to see.

  • Google Business Profile and the map pack
  • General and family dentistry
  • Cosmetic dentistry
  • Implants and restorative dentistry
  • Credibility and technical foundation
  • AI answers and reporting for the practice

01

General and family dentistry

Local, insurance driven
  • The search is routine or urgent, a cleaning, a filling or a toothache, and they want the nearest dentist who can see them
  • Checkups, fillings, crowns, kids' dentistry and emergencies all arrive through this door
  • Proximity, the map pack and which insurance you take decide it, not a long comparison
  • Wins on Google Business Profile, per-location pages and same-day emergency availability
02

Cosmetic and implant dentistry

Cash-pay, researched, decision led
  • The search starts weeks before the phone rings, and most of it is paid out of pocket
  • Implants, veneers, Invisalign, whitening and full-mouth reconstruction
  • You compete with clear-aligner brands and cosmetic chains, beatable on real cases and reviews
  • Wins on a real page per treatment, written for someone comparing dentists for a month

Most dental sites treat every service the same and wonder why the cosmetic cases go elsewhere. The routine patient will find you when your profile is strong, but the implant or veneer case, the one worth ten cleanings, books with whoever wrote the page that actually answered them. Right now that is a chain or an aligner brand, not the dentist who would do the work. Picking that up is usually the fastest unclaimed revenue in a practice.

A dental practice at the centre of a city block, connected outward to the Google map pack above it, patient reviews on one side and booked appointments on the other, and below to its own website, which in turn feeds ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews and Perplexity
The routine and the researched run on the same three pieces: the profile, the site and the answers AI engines give about you.

What we do

What we build to fill your dental schedule

01

Google Business Profile and the map pack

  • Primary category set to Dentist, with secondary categories matching what you actually offer, cosmetic, implants, pediatric
  • A profile per dentist and per location where the practice structure supports it, not just one for the group
  • NAP consistency fixed across health directories, insurance listings and aggregators
  • Review strategy built around the recall visit, since dentistry is one of the few fields patients return to on a schedule
02

General and family dentistry

  • A page per service: cleanings and checkups, fillings, crowns and bridges, root canals, extractions
  • Emergency dentist and toothache pages, built for a search that happens in pain and books the same day
  • Children's dentistry written for the parent searching, a different reader from the adult patient
  • Insurance pages for the plans you take, since dentist that takes a given plan is how a huge share of patients search
03

Cosmetic dentistry

  • A real page per treatment: veneers, Invisalign, teeth whitening, bonding, smile makeovers
  • Written for a patient comparing dentists for a month, not for a keyword target
  • The questions a cosmetic case actually asks answered plainly, since this is where aligner brands win by default
  • Financing and cash-pay paths made clear, because this is where most cosmetic enquiries stall
04

Implants and restorative dentistry

  • A page per procedure: single implants, All-on-4, dentures, bridges, full-mouth reconstruction
  • What the procedure involves and how long it takes, answered the way you would in a consult
  • Written for the patient who has read three other versions and can tell which one is thin
  • The restorative case that is worth ten routine visits, given the page it deserves
05

Credibility and technical foundation

  • Credentials, continuing education and the cases you focus on surfaced on the page, not buried in a bio
  • Dentist and MedicalClinic schema, with each dentist and location as its own entity
  • Author and reviewer attribution on the clinical and treatment pages
  • Core Web Vitals, mobile rendering, crawlability and forms that do not leak patient data
06

AI answers and reporting for the practice

  • Your treatment pages structured so ChatGPT and AI Overviews can name your practice when someone asks who to see
  • One consistent practice identity across the web, so AI engines know exactly which dental practice you are
  • Calls, forms and booked visits traced back to the exact search that produced them
  • A monthly call where you see what moved, what is next, and can ask why

Meet the founder

SEO and AI search, led by the founder himself

I’m Ashikur Rahman. I’ve spent the better part of a decade in SEO, most recently as Partner and SEO Manager at Doctor Rank, a medical and legal SEO agency I helped found. Every plan, every strategy and every client win there ran through me and my team. Proximity Ranker is the next step, my own agency, built the way I’ve always believed this work should be done.

I keep it small on purpose. We stay selective about who we sign and cap how many clients we take on, so nobody ends up with a template pulled from a drawer. We build your strategy around your specialty, your city and your goals. My own background is in law, an LL.B and an LL.M, and that turns out to be a real edge in YMYL niches like medicine and law, where Google and AI reward genuine expertise and trust.

Hire Proximity Ranker and you work with me, not an account manager. I look over every strategy, every author block and every AI search recommendation before it ships. Search has moved past ten blue links. Your next clients are already asking Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT and Perplexity who to trust, and earning a place inside those answers is the work I care about most.

This is usually when the earlier months turn into numbers you can see: map pack positions, calls and direction requests on each profile, impressions on the site, and your name appearing inside AI answers. We report on all four.

How do we outrank the corporate dental chains?

Usually not on ad spend, which is a fight the chains will always win. What they cannot do is be the local dentist patients actually want, with real reviews, a named team and pages written by the person doing the work rather than a marketing department. A genuinely good page on one treatment in your city can outrank all of them for that search, and enough of those pages will out-earn a bidding war you were never going to win.

Is cosmetic and implant content actually worth building pages for?

It is usually the largest unclaimed revenue on the whole site. One implant or veneer case is worth many routine visits, and most dental sites bury those treatments on a single thin page. Those patients research alone for weeks and book with whoever answered their questions. Right now that is a chain or a clear-aligner brand, and it does not have to be.

Dentist near me is brutally competitive. Can we actually rank locally?

You can, but not by doing what every other dentist is doing. The map pack rewards a complete, active Google Business Profile, steady real reviews and a site that actually matches the searches, and most practices get one of those three right at best. Fixing the profile, the review flow and the pages together is what moves you into the top three, and that is where the routine bookings are.

How do we compete with the clear-aligner brands on Invisalign?

Not on price or convenience, which is the brands' whole pitch. You beat them on the thing they cannot offer, a dentist who sees the patient in person and stands behind the result. A page that walks a candidate through whether clear aligners are right for their case, written by the dentist who would treat them, converts the researcher the brand treats as a lead. Most practices never build it.

Should we build a page for each insurance we take?

Yes, because a huge share of dental searches include the plan. Someone searching for a dentist who takes their specific insurance is ready to book and is filtering on that one thing, and a page that names the plan and answers it plainly catches a patient your competitors are ignoring. It is some of the easiest, highest-intent traffic in the whole niche.

How long does dental SEO take to work?

Local and Google Business Profile improvements often move within the first month or two, and urgent searches like emergency dentist respond early because intent is high. Competitive cosmetic and implant terms take longer, usually four to six months before the trend is clear. Any agency promising page one in thirty days is either targeting terms nobody searches or is not being straight with you.

Why is our practice not showing up in the Google map pack?

It is almost never for lack of effort. Most practices complete the profile, collect reviews and still sit outside the top three, because the map pack runs on signals owners rarely touch: the right primary category, a profile that matches the site, one consistent name and address across the health directories, and review activity that keeps arriving. We work out which of those is holding you back and fix them in order, since the top three listings take roughly three of every four local clicks.

How do you get our practice named by ChatGPT and AI Overviews?

By making your practice the easiest one for an engine to cite. One unambiguous identity repeated everywhere, a real page for each treatment you offer with the city in the heading, named dentists with credentials, and answers structured so a model can lift them cleanly. ChatGPT pulls only a few sources per answer and favours clear, credentialed pages, and practices that get cited earn far more clicks than the ones left out. We build for that and check your top patient questions in the engines every month.

Do you lock us into a long contract?

No. There is no lock-in and you can leave whenever you want. We would rather earn the next month than hold you to a year of it, and a practice that stays because the schedule is filling is worth more to us than one tied to paperwork.

Do you write the clinical content yourselves?

We draft it and you review it. Nothing clinical goes live on a dental practice's site without a dentist signing off. It is your license and your patients, so the final read is always yours.
