AI Search for Immigration Lawyers
Navigating a visa or detained relative, people ask an AI in their language who to trust. We make yours the licensed name it gives.

See it live
Ask the three engines your patients use, and watch who they name. This is what a cited answer looks like when your practice is the one built to be quoted.
A live example. The tabs cycle through how each engine answers; a real practice is named and cited the same way.
What it is
AI search optimization, or AEO, is the work of getting your immigration firm named and cited when someone asks an AI engine how a green card works, whether they need a lawyer or a notario, what a visa costs, or what to do if a relative is detained, often in their own language. It structures your matter pages, your attorneys' credentials and your firm identity so ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews and Perplexity can quote you as the licensed answer, across a federal system people are facing for the first time.

Why this matters now
Search is moving from a page of links to a single answer. This is the shift your practice is being sorted by, whether or not anyone is optimising for it.
Industry figures from third-party 2026 research, directional and about the search shift itself, not this firm's results.

The same firm name, attorney list and the right category everywhere an engine looks, a licensed immigration law firm, not a notario or consultant. Since immigration law is federal, that identity travels beyond your city, so an engine can cite you for clients you can lawfully represent nationwide, once it is sure who you are.
Marriage and family green cards, employment and work visas, citizenship and naturalization, asylum, DACA, removal and deportation defense, adjustment of status, responding to an RFE, each on its own page with a plain answer near the top. A model quotes the page that matches the case, never one generic immigration page.
The trust signals an engine leans on are bar admission, a named attorney and membership in a body like AILA. Against a notario or consultant with no license to give legal advice, a real credentialed immigration attorney is exactly what gets your firm cited, because the engine is trying to steer a vulnerable searcher to a safe source.
LegalService and FAQ schema, a 40-to-60-word answer under each heading, and, where you serve them, the same pages in the languages your clients search in. This is the difference between a page an engine has to summarise and one it can quote word for word, in the language the question was asked.
A client who was guided patiently through a confusing federal process and helped in their own language is glad to say so, and engines pull that language into their summaries. Reviews about trust and communication, never a promised approval, feed the exact reassurance an AI reaches for when it describes a firm.
Immigration policy changes constantly, so a visible review date and current content, from fee updates to changed filing rules, matter more here than almost anywhere. Stale immigration pages get passed over fast, because an out-of-date answer on a fast-moving rule is one the model is built to avoid.
What we do
Meet the founder
I’m Ashikur Rahman. I’ve spent the better part of a decade in SEO, most recently as Partner and SEO Manager at Doctor Rank, a medical and legal SEO agency I helped found. Every plan, every strategy and every client win there ran through me and my team. Proximity Ranker is the next step, my own agency, built the way I’ve always believed this work should be done.
I keep it small on purpose. We stay selective about who we sign and cap how many clients we take on, so nobody ends up with a template pulled from a drawer. We build your strategy around your specialty, your city and your goals. My own background is in law, an LL.B and an LL.M, and that turns out to be a real edge in YMYL niches like medicine and law, where Google and AI reward genuine expertise and trust.
Hire Proximity Ranker and you work with me, not an account manager. I look over every strategy, every author block and every AI search recommendation before it ships. Search has moved past ten blue links. Your next clients are already asking Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT and Perplexity who to trust, and earning a place inside those answers is the work I care about most.
Book a call and you talk to me directly, not an account manager.

How it runs
No lock-in contract. AI visibility is measurable, so you will see whether you are being named more often, on real client questions, not asked to take it on faith.
We ask the engines the questions your clients ask, and in the languages they ask them in, do I need a lawyer or a notario, how long does a green card take, what to do if someone is detained, best immigration lawyer near me, and record exactly what comes back: whether you are named, which page is cited, who is named instead, a rival firm, a directory or a notario service, and where your identity disagrees with itself across the web. It returns as a prioritised list, worst gaps first. No charge and no obligation.
The heavy month. One consistent, clearly licensed firm identity reconciled everywhere an engine looks, so a notario service or directory stops outranking you, a quotable page for every matter that lacks one, and schema for the firm and each attorney so a model can resolve that you are the licensed, safe source.
The foundation is in, so now we make the site quotable. Short extractable answers under the real questions, cost, timelines and the lawyer-versus-notario question made explicit, the key pages built in the languages your clients search, review language about trust worked in, and presence built on the third-party sources these engines cite.
This is usually when it shows: your firm named in ChatGPT and AI Overviews on the questions that matter, in more than one language, more pages cited, and AI referral traffic pulled out of Direct so you can finally see it. We report on all of it.
Regular SEO earns a ranking; AI search earns a mention. An engine does not hand someone ten links, it gives one answer and names a few firms inside it. That runs on different signals: a consistent, clearly licensed identity, pages a model can quote, a credentialed attorney and the third-party sources it trusts. The two overlap, but optimising for a blue-link ranking does not automatically get you cited.
Constantly, and often in their first language rather than English. Someone weighing a green card, or with a relative just detained, asks an AI what to do because it is private, immediate and answers in the language they think in. If the engine names three firms and yours is not one, or it answers in Spanish and only cites firms with Spanish pages, you never enter the decision, and you never learn it happened.
It is one of the clearest openings, because AI engines are trying to steer a vulnerable searcher to a safe, licensed source. A page that explains honestly that a notario cannot give legal advice, and why a licensed attorney protects the case, structured so an engine can quote it, positions your firm as exactly the trustworthy answer the model wants to give, over the unlicensed service competing on price.
It matters less than in state-bound practice, and that is an advantage. Because you can represent clients nationwide, the goal is not only to win your city but to be the firm an engine cites for a case type anywhere, while still owning local searches. We make your federal reach clear in your identity so an engine understands it can name you beyond your own zip code.
No to both, and anyone who guarantees either is not being straight with you, an immigration approval least of all, since USCIS and the courts decide that. What we can do is make your firm the easiest licensed one to cite, then measure it: we track your key questions across the engines every month, in the languages your clients use, and show you where you are named. The trend is what we hold ourselves to.
It helps, because some engines read Google's results, but it is not the same job, and paid clicks stop the day you stop paying. A page can rank first and still never be quoted, because it is written to be clicked rather than lifted. And when Google answers with an AI Overview above your ad, the click you paid for can disappear into a summary that names someone else. Being cited in that summary is the work.
It makes freshness a bigger signal here than almost anywhere. Engines avoid citing pages that look stale on a fast-moving rule, so current content and visible dates matter. That is also an opportunity: firms that keep their pages accurate as fees and rules change become the source an engine trusts, while competitors with outdated pages quietly drop out of the answers.
Three ways. We test your client questions in each engine on a schedule, including in the languages your clients use, and log whether you are named and cited. We separate AI referral traffic out of Direct, where most of it lands invisibly. And we tie both back toward booked consultations and retained cases. You see the answers moving, not just a promise that they will.
Identity and schema fixes can change what engines say within a month or two, because those are the gaps that most often keep you out. Being consistently named on competitive matters like marriage green cards takes longer, usually three to six months, as the pages mature and the reviews build. Anyone promising instant AI dominance is selling something.
We ask the engines your clients' real questions, in the languages they use, and show you exactly what they say today: whether you are named, which pages are cited, who is named instead, a rival firm, a directory or a notario service, and where your identity is working against you across the web. Back inside 24 to 48 hours with nothing owed.
