Design concepts

Website design concepts that earn a wary visitor's trust

These are concepts, not live client sites, so you can see the direction before I build anything. The examples here are law firm concepts, and the same approach carries to a clinic, a dental practice or a gym: prove you are the real thing, explain what you do clearly, and make reaching a person easy on a phone.

Why the design decides it

What a conversion-first business website does differently

A visitor judges your business by the website before they judge it by the work. These are the details that win or lose the call.

What it is

Why does a customer read a business website and still not call?

Because the site did not answer the three questions they arrived with: is this the real thing, do they do what I need, and how do I reach a person right now. Most local business websites bury the credentials, describe every service in one paragraph, and hide the phone number behind a menu. A website that works puts the proof first, gives every service its own clear page, loads in about a second on a phone, and makes calling or booking one tap. Replace doubt with proof and friction with one obvious step, and the visitor becomes a call.

  • The pages a visitor reads first
  • One easy way to reach a person
  • Proof you are real and you deliver
  • Speed, mobile and tracking
  • Built to rank and to be quoted
  • You own it outright

Prove you are the real thing, first

Licenses, credentials, real photos of real people and genuine reviews, placed where the visitor lands rather than on an about page nobody opens. For clinics and law firms this is the whole first screen.

One obvious next step

Call, book or request a quote, the same action on every page, reachable with a thumb. Not five buttons, not a chatbot, not a form with eleven fields. The visitor should never wonder what to do next.

Built for a phone, not shrunk to one

Most visits are on a phone, so the layout is designed thumb-first and checked on real phone widths. Click to call, click for directions, a sticky booking button, text that reads without zooming.

Fast enough that nobody notices

Hand-built, lean pages tuned toward a one-second load and strong Core Web Vitals. No bloated theme, no twenty plugins, no slider nobody watches. Speed is a trust signal and a ranking signal at once.

A real page for every service

Each service gets its own page with what it is, who it is for, what it costs and what happens next. That is what the visitor is searching for, what Google ranks, and what AI engines quote.

Found from day one

Every build ships with clean structure, schema and on-page SEO baked in, so the site that convinces a visitor is also the one Google ranks and AI engines name. Design and SEO live with the same person here, so they never fight.

Meet the founder

Website design, led by the founder himself

I’m Ashikur Rahman, founder of Proximity Ranker. I have been in SEO since 2017 and came to web design from the ranking side: I kept inheriting websites that looked fine and could not rank or convert, so I started building them myself, with the page structure, speed and schema the search engines need already in place. I am a verified Hostinger partner.

You work with me on the site from the first wireframe to launch. I write the structure around the searches your customers actually type, keep the build fast on a phone, and hand you a site you own outright, with the code and the hosting in your name. No templates, no lock-in.

How it runs

Your website, from discovery to launch

Four stages, no lock-in contract. You approve the design before anything is built, and the finished site belongs to your business.

  1. Stage 1

    Discovery

I learn your services, the customers you want more of and the searches they use, then send a free homepage concept before you commit to anything.

    GoalsServicesFree conceptContent plan
  2. Stage 2

    Design

I design the homepage and key pages to prove you are real and make reaching you easy, mobile-first, and you shape every round so the result is never a surprise.

  3. Stage 3

    Build

I hand-build the approved design into fast, accessible pages, wire up calls, bookings and forms, and bake in schema and SEO from day one.

    Launch

I launch carefully, preserve your rankings with proper redirects, set up call tracking, and hand over full ownership, with optional month-to-month care.

How much does a website cost for a small business?

It depends on what the site has to do, and I quote after the free concept rather than off a price list. The things that move the number are how many service pages you need, whether booking or intake has to connect to your existing software, whether you have real photography or need it directed, and whether you need location pages. A template site is cheaper and looks like every other business. A hand-built site that proves you are real and loads in a second costs more up front and earns it back in calls. Either way there is no lock-in and you own the result.

How long does it take to design and build a website?

Usually a few weeks, not months. Once I understand your services and have your photos and your approval on the concept, design moves quickly and the build is fast because I hand-build lean pages instead of wrestling a bloated template. You get a real timeline after discovery, not a vague someday.

Will a new website help my business rank on Google?

Yes, when it is built right, and that is how I build. Google rewards clean structure, real speed, mobile-first layouts and schema, so the same trustworthy site that earns calls tends to rank better too. I bake on-page SEO and AI-search-ready structure in from the start, for the services and near-me searches your customers actually use. A redesign done without SEO in mind can lose rankings, which is why the redirects and the structure are planned before anything launches.

What should a small business website include?

Your credentials and proof where a visitor lands, a page for each service rather than one generic list, plain-language answers to what it costs and what happens next, real photographs of your people, reviews in the customer's own words, and one obvious way to reach a person from a phone. Most local business sites are missing at least three of those, and the missing three are usually why the phone stays quiet.

Do you use WordPress, Webflow or something else?

Whatever fits the business and the team who will maintain it. I build on WordPress, Webflow and hand-coded React or Astro sites, and I have run SEO on all of them. The choice depends on who will edit the site day to day, what it has to connect to, and how much traffic it carries. I recommend after discovery and explain the tradeoff plainly rather than selling you the one platform I happen to like.

Who writes the website copy and organizes the photos?

I write the copy and direct the photography, leaning on real images of your people and your premises rather than stock, because that is what makes a stranger trust you. You approve every word before it publishes, and in medical and legal a clinician or an attorney signs off. If you already have good photos I use them; if not, I tell you exactly what to shoot so the site feels like your business, not a template.

Do I own my website after launch?

Yes, the design and the code both. No proprietary page builder you can never leave, no hosting that holds the site hostage. I train your team to make everyday edits, and any ongoing care I provide stays month to month, so you stay because the work is good, not because you are stuck.

Can you redesign my existing website without losing my rankings?

Yes, and this is where most redesigns go wrong. Every existing URL is mapped to its new page with a permanent redirect, the content that ranks is preserved or improved rather than rewritten for the sake of it, and the structure, schema and speed get better rather than worse. I check Search Console before and after launch so any dip is caught in days, not months.

Is the free homepage concept really free, with no strings?

It is genuinely free, no strings. A real design of your new homepage, built to prove you are the real thing and make reaching you easy, so you can see the direction and the difference before spending anything. No obligation and no lock-in. If you love it, I build the rest; if not, the concept is yours to keep.

Where will my new website be hosted?

On Hostinger (partner link), in an account under your own name. I am a verified Hostinger partner, so I set up the plan, domain and business email, then move your existing site over safely.
