What it is

What do SEO services actually include?

SEO services are the work of making a business the one Google shows when someone searches for what it does, from a near-me search on a phone to a specific service or symptom typed on a laptop. Done properly it covers the Google Business Profile and the map pack, a real page for every service and location, the technical health of the website, the outside signals Google trusts, and the structure that gets the business named in AI answers.

  • Local SEO and the Google map pack
  • Service and location pages
  • Technical SEO
  • Content and on-page work
  • Authority and off-page signals
  • AI answers and reporting
A flow diagram of how a customer finds a local business: Google Search leads to a five-star Google Business Profile, which leads to the business website, which in turn feeds ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews and Perplexity, and all three lead to a new customer and more visibility
01

Ready-now searches

Near me, on a phone, calling today
  • The searcher types a service and a place, or lets Google use their location: emergency dentist near me, DUI lawyer Austin, furnace repair Denver
  • The map pack decides it. The top three listings take most of the clicks and most of the calls
  • Won with a complete, accurate Google Business Profile, a steady flow of reviews, and a website that matches the profile exactly
  • This is where most local businesses are leaking customers today, and it is usually the fastest fix
02

Researching searches

A question, a symptom, a comparison
  • The searcher types a question: how much does Invisalign cost, do I need a lawyer for a first DUI, what is the best commercial treadmill
  • A real page that answers the question wins it, written by someone who understands the work, not a thin service page stuffed with a keyword
  • These pages are also what ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews and Perplexity quote when they name a business
  • Slower to earn, but they bring the higher-value customer who has already decided you know what you are talking about

Most business websites are built for neither. The homepage tries to say everything, the service pages are three paragraphs each, the Business Profile has the wrong category and the reviews stopped two years ago. Fixing the ready-now side first brings calls within weeks. Building the researching side brings the better customers over the months after. I do both, in that order, and I report on which searches actually produced the calls.

What we do

What my SEO services include

01

Local SEO and the Google map pack

  • Primary and secondary categories set to what customers actually search, not what the business calls itself
  • A Business Profile per location and, where the rules allow, per practitioner
  • Name, address and phone made consistent across every directory, aggregator and listing that matters
  • Review generation that keeps running, and a reply to every review in the owner's voice
02

Service and location pages

  • A real page for every service you want to be found for, written with the person who does the work
  • Location and neighborhood pages for the areas you serve, each one different, none of them a template
  • Pricing, process and what-to-expect content that answers the questions callers ask before they call
  • Written for the searcher first and the search engine second, which is what ranks now anyway
03

Technical SEO

  • Core Web Vitals, mobile rendering, crawlability and indexing fixed, with a before-and-after you can see in Search Console
  • Redirect chains, duplicate pages, broken links and orphan pages cleaned up
  • Structured data for the business, each location, each service and each person, mirrored to the visible content
  • Hosting, caching and image problems fixed at the source, not papered over with a plugin
04

Content and on-page work

  • Title tags and meta descriptions written to the search, not the org chart
  • Headings, internal links and page structure that tell Google what each page is for
  • Blog posts only where a real question has real search demand, never content for its own sake
  • Every page reviewed by you before it publishes, especially in medical and legal
05

Authority and off-page signals

  • The directories, associations and local sources Google trusts for your industry, claimed and kept consistent
  • Mentions and links earned from real sources, not bought from a list
  • Competitor gap analysis: who outranks you, why, and which of those reasons you can match
  • No link schemes, ever. They work until they do not, and then the whole site pays
06

AI answers and reporting

  • Your pages structured so ChatGPT and AI Overviews can name your business when someone asks who to call
  • One consistent identity everywhere online, so the engines know exactly which business you are
  • Calls, forms and bookings traced back to the exact search that produced them
  • A monthly report in plain words on what moved, why, and what comes next

Meet the founder

SEO services, done by the founder himself

I’m Ashikur Rahman, and I have been doing SEO since 2017: first for e-commerce and service businesses as a freelancer, then as Partner and SEO Manager at Doctor Rank, where the team and I worked on rankings for dental, medical and law firm sites in some of the most crowded local markets in the US. Proximity Ranker is my own agency.

Every SEO program here is built and run by me. I do the audit, write and structure the pages, fix the technical issues, build the local signals and read the Search Console data each month. The client list stays short on purpose, so the plan fits your services and your city rather than a template, and you can ask me directly why any change was made.

How it runs

The first 90 days of SEO with me

No lock-in contract. If the work is not bringing customers in you are free to go, and that is the only promise about results anyone should make before seeing your site.

  1. Day 0

See who outranks you and why

Where you rank now, what traffic you are getting, which technical issues are holding the site back, and how you compare against the businesses taking your searches. It comes back as a prioritized list, worst problems first. No charge and no obligation.

  2. Month 1

Fix the profile and the foundations

The heavy month. Your Google Business Profile rebuilt from the categories up, the technical faults fixed, schema for the business and each location, and the first service pages written for the searches that convert fastest.

  3. Month 2

Build the pages that bring better customers

With the foundation in, I build out the service, location and question pages, structure the answers so AI engines can lift them, and get your business named the same way everywhere an engine might look.

  4. Month 3

    See which searches became customers

This is usually when the earlier months turn into numbers you can see: map pack positions, calls and direction requests from the profile, impressions on the site, and your name appearing inside AI answers. I report on all four.

How much do SEO services cost for a small business?

Most agencies quote a small business somewhere between $1,500 and $5,000 a month, and often that covers SEO alone, with the website, the Business Profile and any AI search work billed on top. I do not hand you a number off a shelf. The free audit comes first, then I quote against what your business actually needs: how many services and locations need pages, the state of the current site, and how competitive your city is. One all-in price, no lock-in.

How long does SEO take to work?

Google Business Profile and map pack improvements often move within the first month or two, and lower-competition services and neighborhoods respond early. The crowded head terms every competitor is chasing take longer, usually four to six months before the trend is clear. Any SEO agency promising page one in thirty days is either targeting terms nobody searches or is not being straight with you.

What makes a good SEO agency for a local business?

Ask who will actually do the work on your account, and whether you can talk to them. Ask what they will build in the first ninety days, in plain words. Ask how they report, and whether the report counts calls and customers or impressions and keyword positions. Ask what happens if you leave. A good answer to all four is specific. A bad answer is a deck. With me the person you talk to is the person doing the work, and you can leave any month.

Is local SEO different from regular SEO?

Yes. Local SEO is the work that gets a business with a physical location or a service area into the Google map pack and the local results: the Business Profile, reviews, consistent name and address across the web, and location pages. Regular SEO is the website side: technical health, content, links. A law firm, a clinic or a gym needs both, because the map pack brings the ready-now calls and the website brings the researching customer. I do both as one program.

Why is my business not showing up on Google Maps?

It is almost never effort. Owners complete the profile, gather reviews and still sit outside the top three, because the map pack depends on things they rarely adjust: the correct primary category, a profile that matches the website exactly, one consistent name and address across the directories, and review activity that keeps arriving. I work out which of those is costing you and fix them in order, since the top three listings take most of the local clicks.

Which industries do you do SEO for?

Law firms, dental and orthodontic practices, medical specialists and local businesses such as gyms and trades. Most of my experience is in medical and legal, where the content has to hold up to a professional's review and the rules on what you can claim are strict. The same system applies to a gym, a trade business or an online store, and I run programs for local businesses outside medical and legal today. If your industry is not on that list, ask on the call and I will tell you plainly whether I am the right fit.

Do you guarantee first page rankings?

No, and nobody honest does. Google itself says no one can guarantee a number one ranking. What I can guarantee is the work: the audit, the fixes, the pages, the reporting, and a plain answer every month about what moved and what did not. The no-lock-in contract is the real guarantee. If the work is not bringing customers, you leave.

Do I need to keep paying for SEO forever?

You need to keep paying for as long as you want the work to continue, and the work does compound, so stopping is not a cliff. The profile, the pages and the technical fixes are yours and keep working. What stops is the review flow, the new pages, the monitoring and the response when a competitor moves or Google changes something. Many clients scale the retainer down once the foundations are built rather than stopping outright.

How is SEO different from Google Ads?

Ads bring calls this week and stop the day you stop paying. SEO is slower and keeps working. For most local businesses the right answer is both, in sequence: ads to cover the gap while the SEO builds, then a smaller ad budget aimed at the searches organic cannot win. I run both, so the two are planned together instead of competing for the same budget.

Who writes the content on my pages?

I draft it, with the person who does the work, and you approve every word before it publishes. In medical and legal that means a clinician or an attorney signs off, because the content carries real stakes and the professional judgment has to be yours. My degrees are in law, an LL.B and an LL.M in International Law, which helps me read the rules a page is built on, but I am not a licensed US attorney and I do not give legal or medical advice.

Do you lock clients into a long SEO contract?

No. Nothing is locked in and you can leave at any time. I would rather earn next month than hold you for a year, and a client who stays because customers are calling is worth more to me than one kept by a contract.

What does the free SEO audit include?

Where you rank now, the traffic actually reaching the site, the technical faults in the way, which searches you are missing, what ChatGPT and AI Overviews say about your business today, and a full list of fixes ordered by what moves first. Returned inside 24 to 48 hours, at no cost and with no obligation.
